Serving the northwest corner of Connecticut, Advanced Medical Imaging (AMI) offers the latest imaging technology, including virtual colonoscopy, breast biopsies and laser vein treatment. We also offer a full range of MRI services on our high field units. Through our Pictoral Archiving and Communications System (PACS), our board-certified radiologists have the ability to retrieve, compare and disseminate imaging exam results from our three locations to our referring physicians within the same day.

The entire first floor of the 7000 SF Diagnostic Center houses our:

• CT scanner
• Three ultrasound rooms
• X-ray unit
• Bone densitometry (DXA)
• An endovenous laser treatment (EVLT) service and
• Computer-assisted diagnostic (CAD) capabilities

A mobile, Philips 1.5T widebody MRI unit is attached to the center.

The Charlotte Hungerford Hospital (CHH) digital mammography services are also located in the Hungerford Diagnostic Center and follow-up breast ultrasound and biopsy services are coordinated and performed by AMI staff.

A PET scanner and an obstetrics and gynecology group are located on the second floor of the Center.

Fixed MRI, a General Electric 1.5T magnet, is housed in the Out-Patient entrance of The Charlotte Hungerford Hospital:
